The Role
We're looking for compassionate, skilled Disability Support Workers with experience in supporting young people with complex physical and mental health needs.
In this role, you will:
Previous experience working with ASD and non-verbal communication young people highly desirable
Provide day-to-day care and supervision in a residential setting.
Develop and implement personalised support plans.
Assist with daily living activities, self-care routines, education, and recreational engagement.
Promote a safe, structured, and positive home environment.
Build strong, trusting relationships with young people.
Offer emotional guidance and be a consistent role model.
Accurately maintain records and documentation.
Support individuals with high needs using your understanding of disability and intellectual impairment.
Facilitate community participation, social connection, and inclusion.
Confidently de-escalate challenging behaviours with empathy, skill—and sometimes a well-timed sense of humour.
Balance empathy with resilience: some days will be tough, but your calm and caring approach will make all the difference.
Skills and Experiences:

Essential Requirements:
LCS2 (or willingness to obtain)
Paid Blue Card
NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
Unrestricted Driver Licence
Certificate IV in Disability Support, Youth Work, or related field (or currently studying)
Full working rights in Australia
Current First Aid
Current CPR
