Join us at Rowland Flat as an Electrical Reliability Technician, located in the Barossa Valley at our “centre of excellence” for premium and sparkling wine production. Positioned between Lyndoch and Tanunda, this region is home to world‑class wineries including Jacob’s Creek and St Hugo.
About the Role
This is more than reactive maintenance.
As an Electrical Reliability Technician, you will drive improved equipment reliability and eliminate repeat electrical and control‑system issues across a high‑volume packaging environment. Working closely with production and engineering teams, you’ll take ownership of electrical performance, fault finding, root‑cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
* Investigate electrical and control system faults, conducting root cause analysis
* Improve reliability of motors, VSDs, PLCs, sensors and packaging‑line control systems
* Perform planned and breakdown electrical maintenance and support commissioning
* Identify critical components and manage electrical spare parts
* Support apprentices and contractors with a strong safety focus
* Contribute to automation, control‑system and reliability improvement projects
What You’ll Bring
* Electrical trade qualification (Electrician / Electrical Maintenance) with SA licence
* Experience in FMCG, manufacturing or packaging environments
* Strong fault‑finding capability across electrical and control systems
* Experience with motors, VSDs, PLCs, sensors and electrical drawings
* Ability to use CMMS and basic computer systems
Desirable
* Exposure to TPM / 5S or reliability frameworks
* PLC experience (e.g. Siemens / Allen‑Bradley)
* Forklift, EWP or other high‑risk licences
