Role Description
The Potable Water Project Leader will oversee potable water treatment plant design projects and treatment studies in Illinois, contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with Marketing on proposal preparation: project plans, staff assignments, fee development, and risk assessment.
* Review draft agreements and provide input on scope and fee.
* Build teams and assign staff based on knowledge, skills, and availability.
* Monitor project performance (client satisfaction, project schedule, budget, billings, quality control).
* Support the development of department standards and conduct quality control reviews.
* Direct staff efforts according to plans and personal skills; support goal achievement.
* Assist with planning, developing, coordinating, and ensuring project success.
* Lead single and multi-disciplined projects.
* Represent the company in client meetings to resolve questions and plan work.
* Communicate and coordinate efforts with peers and management.
* Provide technical guidance and mentor project team members.
* Enhance client relationships and business growth.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
* Registered Professional Engineer in Illinois.
* 10+ years related experience in project management and potable water design.
* Member of professional societies.
* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or regulations.
* Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
* Effective communication and presentation skills.
* Valid driver's license.
* Strong verbal, computer, organizational, and writing skills.
* Teamwork ability.
