This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine clinician to step into a senior role within a high-performing, mixed adult–paediatric Emergency Department in one of Melbourne's fastest-growing regions.
The Role
Role
As a Senior Emergency Registrar, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality emergency care across a busy and diverse case mix. Working within a supportive, team-oriented environment, you will:
* Lead resuscitation and acute management of critically unwell patients
* Coordinate complex presentations and ensure timely, safe clinical decision-making
* Provide supervision, bedside teaching and structured learning opportunities for HMOs and junior registrars
* Contribute to a positive, patient-centred departmental culture
The department offers **24 months of ACEM accreditation**, with strong FACEM leadership, dedicated fellowship preparation and a robust educational program designed to support progression toward consultant practice.

* Mixed ED seeing **60,000–70,000 presentations annually**, including ~20% paediatric
* Strong senior coverage and teaching culture
* Active service expansion with a **new, purpose-built Emergency Department opening in 2026**, significantly increasing capacity and enhancing patient flow

Essential Requirements
Applicants must demonstrate:
* Registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA
* Significant senior emergency experience with capacity to manage high-acuity, complex patients
* Competence in leading resuscitation and multidisciplinary coordination
* Ability to teach, support and supervise junior medical staff
* Eligibility to meet senior emergency credentialing requirements
