Mine Surveyor – Underground Gold Operation (8/6 roster)

About the role
As a Mine Surveyor at Fosterville Gold Mine (FGM), you'll provide all underground and surface surveying requirements, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and our rigorous safety standards. You'll work closely with geologists, engineers and the production team to support development, production drilling, diamond drilling and other critical mining activities.
What you'll be doing
* Develop and maintain robust underground and surface survey control networks, databases and digital records.
* Perform surface set‑outs and pickups using GPS, UAVs and Hovermap scanners.
* Collaborate with Technical and Operations teams to ensure survey data meets production and development needs.
* Deliver accurate end‑of‑month surveys and reports, and maintain all survey equipment.
* Assist with emergency plans and provide survey support across departments.
What you'll bring
* Degree or diploma in Surveying (or equivalent).
* 2–3+ years' experience in underground metalliferous mining.
* Proficiency with Deswik software and Leica/Trimble instruments.
* Remote Pilot Licence (RePL) and Hovermap skills highly desirable.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; able to work autonomously and prioritise tasks.
* Valid manual driver's licence.
