About You:
Proven Leading Hand experience (essential)
Minimum 10 years' residential carpentry experience (essential)
Experience working with modular or prefabricated buildings (desired)
Drivers Licence (essential), White Card (essential), Forklift Licence (desired)
Willingness to travel extensively
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of carpenters and trades on site to ensure projects run efficiently and safely
Interpret and work from construction drawings, specifications, and project plans
Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure work is completed to a high standard and within project timelines
Carry out advanced carpentry work on residential and modular building projects
Coordinate with construction managers, project managers, site supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow
Maintain strict adherence to safety procedures, company policies, and site regulations
Train, mentor, and support team members to maintain productivity and workmanship standards
Monitor material usage, manage site resources, and report any shortages or issues
Conduct quality checks to ensure all work meets required standards and specifications
Assist with the installation and assembly of modular building components where required
Troubleshoot construction issues and provide practical solutions on site
Ensure sites remain organised, clean, and compliant with safety requirements
Enforcing workplace health and safety procedures
Conducting toolbox talks or safety briefings with the crew
Travel to various project locations (including interstate and international) as required
