Reporting to the Manager Accounting Services, this role is responsible for maintaining the integrity, governance, and policies over the accounting data of the ASC group, integral to ensuring ASC meet’s all financial reporting obligations, to stakeholders internal and external.ResponsibilitiesManage the day to day accounting processes, ensuring compliance with all relevant ASC financial policies and guidelines. This may include capital and lease assets, payroll accounting and subsidiary accounting.Undertake a range of reporting activities such as forecasting and facilitating the production of a range of end of year reporting.Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly reconciliations of key financial balances and transaction accounts.Provide appropriate advice and guidance to ensure costs are appropriately classified and reported.Investigate issues and problems and ensure that appropriate solutions are achieved.Contribute to new initiatives and provide input to develop and improve financial practices and processes.About youTertiary Qualification in Commerce or Accounting.Full membership (or part qualified) in CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants ANZ or equivalent accounting qualification with post-membership experience.Proven and successful experience in similar role in a corporate accounting environment.Demonstrated knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and corporate statutory reporting requirements.Excellent attention to detail, high level of accuracy and problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritise, multitask and work well with others.High level of written and verbal communication skills.EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
