Your new role
As an APS6 or EL1 Intelligence Analyst, you will be responsible for producing high quality analytical assessments in a fast paced and often reactive environment. You will synthesise multi‑source information, apply strong judgement, and operate within strict "need to know" parameters. This role requires someone who can take direction well, work autonomously, and contribute effectively to a collaborative, forward leaning team. The successful candidate will bring strong analytical expertise, excellent written communication skills, and the ability to hit the ground running with minimal oversight.
Your day to day responsibilities may include:
* undertaking foreign policy research and analysis to support international engagements
* undertaking data analytics and briefing functions
* supporting the administrative and logistical requirements of the work unit
* promoting a positive team culture where staff work collegiately with a shared sense of purpose
What you'll need to succeed
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate:
* Current NV2 security clearance (mandatory)
* Experience at the APS6 or EL1 level (or equivalent)
* Proven ability to write high quality analytical assessments
* Strong information synthesis skills across multiple classified and open-source inputs
* Sound judgement and strict adherence to security and integrity requirements
* Ability to work autonomously in a fluid and reactive environment
* A collaborative and proactive approach to team dynamics
* Background as an intelligence analyst, ideally with regional geopolitical or Pacific foreign policy knowledge
* Ability to rapidly produce well reasoned, accurate assessments without extended training or ramp up time
