Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest hospital, and the Cardiology Department within the RHH is the tertiary referral centre in Tasmania. As the major clinical teaching and research centre, RHH works closely with the University of Tasmania and other institutions. The Role
The Cardiac Nurse Practitioner Service provides holistic care to ensure that patients have better access to specialised healthcare. As key members of the RHH Cardiology multidisciplinary team, they provide high quality, evidence based care to all Cardiology patients across Southern Tasmania.
The Cardiac Nurse Practitioner provides post discharge follow up for heart failure inpatients, the service also manages heart failure patients referred from GPs, general medical physicians and private practice. They support the prevention of secondary risk factors, particularly managing hypertension, hyperlipidaemia (high cholesterol), valvular heart disease and arrhythmias.

You will need
* As an endorsed Nurse Practitioner, demonstrate extensive clinical experience and advanced clinical competencies, together with extensive experience working in a senior capacity delivering services in a primary healthcare practice environment.
* Demonstrated advanced holistic nursing experience in clinical judgement by applying the principles of pathophysiology and the range of human sciences integral to the designated area of nursing practice.
* Well developed, and strong leadership skills with the ability to collaborate, educate/guide within inter‐professional teams and the ability to consult, refer, liaise, and negotiate on complex professional clinical services and health systems issues.
Details of appointment
* Permanent, part time, day worker position, working 68 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary
$148,470 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:
* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type

Eligibility
* Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and endorsed as a Nurse Practitioner.
