Howdy, we're PlanCare - a young, exciting, and innovative healthcare platform on a mission to revolutionise the Support at Home sector through smart, people-centred technology.
We were recently awarded 2025 Future of Ageing Award along with being listed by the Australian Financial Review (AFR) as one of Australia's Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Health—and we're only just getting started.
We're building a fun, inclusive, and purpose-driven brand that helps older Australians take control of their Support at Home services so they can live independently and confidently at home. As we continue to scale nationally, we're strengthening our foundations — and that's where you come in.
About The Role
As the Quality and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring PlanCare meets and exceeds compliance, governance, and quality assurance standards across Aged Care and NDIS services. You will lead quality improvement initiatives, maintain regulatory compliance, and drive a culture of governance excellence across the organisation.
Reporting to the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer, this role will see you working across multiple departments—including Risk, Operations, and Clinical Governance—to strengthen compliance frameworks and embed best practices into everything we do.
What you'll be doing
* Leading PlanCare's Quality and Compliance strategy to ensure compliance with Aged Care and NDIS Quality and Safety Standards.
* Managing internal audits and developing corrective action plans to address non-compliance issues.
* Overseeing incident management systems, ensuring all incidents are documented, investigated, and resolved in line with compliance standards.
* Supporting the organisation in achieving and maintaining accreditation.
* Leading risk management strategies and overseeing the organisational risk register.
* Reviewing and updating policies, procedures, and frameworks to align with industry regulations and best practices.
* Providing guidance and training to staff on compliance obligations, including best practices in clinical governance and continuous quality improvement.
* Ensuring subcontracted providers meet compliance requirements and quality standards.
* Overseeing the complaints and feedback system to ensure timely and effective resolutions.
* Conducting workplace inspections and compliance checks to identify and mitigate risks.
* Supporting a culture of continuous improvement by analysing data, monitoring trends, and identifying opportunities for enhancement.
What we're looking for
* Registered Nurse (Div 1) registration with AHPRA
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in a compliance, quality improvement, risk management, or governance role within Aged Care or NDIS services.
* Strong knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Framework, and other relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Experience in internal audits, compliance strategies, and corrective action plans.
* Strong record-keeping and documentation skills.
* Excellent policy development, review, and implementation skills.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one).
* Highly Desirable:
* Experience in NDIS compliance.
* Experience with the NDIS MyPlace Portal, My Aged Care Portal, or Aged Care Provider Portal.
* Experience in clinical governance frameworks and quality assurance programs.
* But we'll still consider you if you don't.
