The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Area Manager to join our team in WA. Reporting to the Regional Field Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for managing and growing a defined territory. You'll drive sales through a structured call cycle, develop strong customer relationships, and uncover new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Manage an effective call cycle to maintain and grow relationships with existing customers.
* Identify and convert new business opportunities within the territory.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers to ensure satisfaction and retention.
* Quote, negotiate and close sales, including pricing and credit terms.
* Execute sales and marketing strategies and respond to market trends and competitor activity.
* Report regularly on sales performance and market intelligence.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role you must have the drive and determination to succeed, plus be able to demonstrate:
* Minimum of two years proven track record of B2B success, ideally within the hardware or building supplies market.
* Strong planning, time management, and CRM discipline.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
* The ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team.
* A positive attitude, resilience, and strong problem-solving ability.
* Intermediate IT skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
This role includes occasional regional travel, typically involving two nights away from home every quarter.
