About the Role
Good Truck Drivers are a rare resource that keeps our Tasmanian communities connected. Strait Link values this and offers an exciting full-time permanent opportunity for an experienced HR Driver.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
* Represent Strait Link professionally while picking up and delivering freight to customers in a consistent and timely manner.
* Ensure all freight is securely loaded, unloaded, and transported safely, adhering to safety regulations.
* Follow scanning and Proof of Delivery procedures, along with safe and law-abiding driving practices.
* Respect Strait Link's OH&S policies and procedures, and all customer practices when on external sites.
* Manage and collect all consignment paperwork and notes at pick-up points.
* Package freight in a safe and effective manner.
About You
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Current HR license (manual preferred but not essential).
* Minimum 2 years of truck driving experience.
* Experience in pick-up and delivery of general and express freight.
* Experience with radio communication systems (preferable).
* Experience with Load Restraint Systems & Equipment (preferable).
* Knowledge of Load Restraint Guidelines (desirable).
