About the Role
We are looking for a qualified and passionate Chef to join our team. This role offers the
opportunity to work in a great, supportive environment. Experience in a dining restaurant
setting is highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, work well with others, and be
willing to learn. You must be able to multitask, remain calm under pressure, and have a very
good understanding of food and all aspects of a kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies.
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, kitchen staff, and waiting staff.
Demonstrating cooking techniques and advising on procedures.
Preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
Explaining and enforcing all hygiene and food safety regulations.
Assisting with the selection and training of kitchen staff.
Managing stock rotation, including freezing and preserving foods as required.
Qualifications & Skills
Trade Qualifications: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent) with three
years' relevant experience.
Knowledge and experience in high-volume food preparation and a fast-paced
customer environment.
High level of interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills.
Proven ability to work effectively under pressure.
Ability to work various shifts, including nights and weekends.
Ability to work both individually and as part of a team.

Pay: $76,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year
