**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We are seeking an experienced CCTV technician who will be responsible for installing and maintaining closed-circuit television systems on our bus fleet across 6 depots (10 depots by end of year), to ensure that these systems are functioning properly at all times.
The ideal applicant will have experience operating computer systems that monitor surveillance camera feeds for activity, ability to troubleshoot problems with the system or its components.
Potential Earnings $70,000 to $80,000 per annum. Rostered weekend's provide opportunity to increase earnings.
**PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES**:
- Installing, maintaining, repairing, and replacing security cameras, computer networks, and other equipment used in video surveillance systems.
- Monitoring the operation of security equipment for malfunctions or other problems
- Recording events on camera and storing footage in a digital format for later reference
- Maintaining logs of security incidents and making sure they are reported to appropriate personnel.
- Installing and maintaining security equipment such as alarms or access control systems
- Responding to security breaches or other emergencies such as fires or medical emergencies
- Operating computer systems that monitor surveillance camera feeds for activity
- Attend to servers in comms room & perform IT services (backup, free up storage, troubleshoot CCTV software errors & wireless download issues & perform system updates & troubleshoot APs performance )
- using elevated platforms, inspect, reset Access points & install & program new ones, or replace faulty ones.
**ABOUT YOU**
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Private/Commercial security experience background is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and to multitask.
- CCTV certification and computer experience needed.
- Previous experience in March networks (legacy system) with no support from vendor, Desirable
- Previous experience in Poseidon and Thoreb System's, Dti system Desirable
- Ability to work in a Team environment
