We currently have multiple opportunities for Residential Support Workers and Day Program Support Workers. You can apply for one or both roles, depending on your skills, experience, and interests.
1. Residential Disability Support Worker (SIL – Supported Independent Living)
The Role
As a Residential Support Worker, you will assist participants living in supported accommodation to build independence and live fulfilling lives. You will provide personal care, daily living assistance, and emotional support while ensuring a safe and respectful environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide personal care, including showering, dressing, toileting, and bowel care.
* Assist with manual handling and mobility equipment (wheelchairs, hoists).
* Support medication compliance and administration.
* Assist with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
* Implement Positive Behaviour Support plans for participants with complex needs.
* Record accurate daily notes, progress reports, and incident reports.
* Work collaboratively with other staff to meet individual participant goals.
Shifts Available
Day, evening, weekend, sleepover, and active night shifts (24/7 roster).
2. Day Program Disability Support Worker
The Role
As a Day Program Support Worker, you will assist participants in developing skills, pursuing interests, and engaging in community and recreational activities. This role is ideal for creative, energetic, and community-focused support workers.
Key Responsibilities
* Support participants in community outings, skill-building, and recreational activities.
* Plan and facilitate engaging activities such as art, music, cooking, gardening, sports, and more.
* Encourage social participation and build community connections.
* Provide personal care as required during program hours.
* Ensure participant safety and wellbeing in all activities.
* Document attendance, progress, and incidents.
Hours
Weekdays (typically 9:00 am – 3:00 pm), with some occasional weekend activities.
What We're Looking For
* Genuine passion for supporting people with disabilities.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks.
* Working knowledge of NDIS requirements.
* Previous experience in Disability Support, Aged Care, or a related field.
* Desirable: Certificate III/IV in Disability, Individual Support, Aged Care, or equivalent; Bachelor/Diploma of Nursing (or first-year completion); Allied Health qualifications.
Essential Requirements
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Working with Children Check.
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate.
* Valid driver's licence & reliable vehicle (for community access).
* Fully COVID-19 vaccinated.
* Full working rights in Australia.
