NRW Civil & Mining is entering an exciting growth phase and is seeking a skilled Trainer Assessor to support the successful delivery of our civil and mining projects across the Pilbara. This FIFO opportunity on a 2:2 roster offers the chance to work on diverse, large-scale projects while contributing directly to workforce capability and project outcomes.
As a Trainer Assessor, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining workforce competency on site. Your focus will be on assessing and upskilling operators across a range of mobile plant and equipment, ensuring all personnel meet site and safety requirements. Your expertise will directly contribute to building a safe, productive, and high-performing project team.
To be considered for this position, you must possess the following as a minimum:
Must hold a current Training & Assessor qualification (TAE*****)
Previous experience in a Trainer and Assessor role within the Civil or Mining industry
Valid Heavy Vehicle Drivers' Licence (HR)
Demonstrated operational experience (minimum 5 years) across a wide range of surface mobile equipment, with current competencies or Statements of Attainment for the machinery being assessed
Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a supportive, team-focused environment
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Conducting theory / practical / VOC assessments (this may include ongoing training, along with upskilling personnel to meet operational requirements)
Interacting daily with crew members to assist with site safety requirements
Ensuring compliance with the NRW Training procedure
Ensuring personnel are fully competent on the equipment they are operating
