Behaviour Support Practitioner – Contractor Role
Location: Launceston preferred; however, applications considered Australia-wide
Rate: $100 – $150 per hour (plus superannuation where applicable)
Little Big Steps Health Group is looking for a Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our team and provide Positive Behaviour Support services, primarily under the NDIS.
In this role, you will work with participants, families and support teams to better understand behaviours of concern and develop practical, evidence-based behaviour support strategies that improve quality of life. The role includes completing assessments, writing behaviour support plans and supporting implementing providers to put strategies into practice.
While we welcome applications from across Australia, practitioners located in or near Launceston will be prioritised.

Key Responsibilities
* Conduct functional behavioural assessments
* Develop and review NDIS Behaviour Support Plans (Interim and Comprehensive)
* Implement positive behaviour support strategies
* Support and educate implementing providers on behaviour support strategies
* Monitor participant progress and adjust plans where required
* Collaborate with families, support teams and allied health professionals
* Maintain accurate documentation and reports in line with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements
* Ensure practice aligns with NDIS legislation and Positive Behaviour Support frameworks
Essential Requirements
* Registration as an NDIS Behaviour Support Practitioner or eligibility to register
* ABN or ACN
* Professional Indemnity Insurance
* Public Liability Insurance
* Relevant qualification in Psychology or a related allied health field (Ideal but not required)
* Own laptop and phone
* Understanding of NDIS practice standards and restrictive practice requirements
