About The Role
The Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) provides high-quality person-centred nursing care for patients with life-threatening conditions and complex healthcare problems.
* Work closely with a comprehensive multidisciplinary team to assess, manage, support and advocate for critically ill patients
* Enjoy a diverse and challenging environment with a 4-bed unit that treats a wide range of cardiac, respiratory and other conditions.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform nursing interventions and procedures in accordance with GH policies, procedures and guidelines
* Recognise changes in the patient's condition, inform team leaders where required and collaboratively implement strategies to improve patient outcomes
* Ensure person centred care is provided according to individual patient assessment and needs
* Promote evidence-based practice that has a problem-solving approach and is competency based
Essential
Skills & Experience
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
* Postgraduate/Certificate qualifications in critical care or recent experience in Intensive Care Nursing and willing to undertake further education, training and competency assessment as required
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Commitment to personal and professional development and continuous quality improvement
* Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity
Desirable
* Experience in attending MET calls

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement The classification is Registered Nurse Grade 2 (YP2 - YP9) which ranges from $ $52.20 per hour.
