Purpose
Work collaboratively across Procurement to lead, plan and deliver Procurement change. Support Procurement activities throughout the procurement and contract lifecycle, business engagement, category management and managing strategic vendors.
Description
- Support the design and delivery of category plans for nominated categories of spend.
- Ensure procurement activities are implemented in accordance with internal policies and industry best practice.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to understand and support them to deliver their procurement outcomes.
- Partner with the business to manage strategic suppliers.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, tools and systems are compliant with regulatory requirements and industry frameworks.
- Conduct analysis and reporting on procurement activities and key performance indicators.
- Support the delivery of procurement activities, contract management and governance activities.
- Lead procurement activities on projects.
- Identify opportunities for improved efficiencies and outcomes.
- Develop and implement Procurement strategies, frameworks, practices and reporting to ensure effective and efficient management of the Bank's change initiatives.
- Manage internal and external relationships, communicating and collaborating effectively with key stakeholders to successfully deliver change.
- Develop and maintain detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates and resource plans.
- Identify and manage risks and issues, develop plans to mitigate risk and implement these in a timely manner, measuring effectiveness.
- Monitor the progress of plans identifying variances early allowing corrective actions to be taken in a timely manner, minimising impact.
- Identify, plan and complete communication activities to ensure they provide information in a timely and relevant manner and clearly communicate the intended messages.
- Identify stakeholders, develop appropriate plans and complete activities to ensure necessary levels of engagement are maintained throughout the life of the project.
Technical capabilities
- Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with business stakeholders to deliver effective services and solutions that meet their business requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of best practice procurement.
- Experience in managing external suppliers and vendors, including building and construction related companies and IT vendors.
- Experience in vendor management and contract management.
- Significant experience in stakeholder management and experience in representing the department across the Bank or similar organisation.
- Experience working and leading in a project environment.
- Advanced knowledge of project, change management, business analysis and/or testing methodologies, frameworks, techniques and tools.
