Introduction

Randstad are proud to partner with the leading provider of construction and strategic building maintenance services for the Queensland Government. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to deliver high-quality building and infrastructure projects across the Wide Bay region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a results‑driven professional to lead end‑to‑end project delivery, ensuring quality outcomes for stakeholders and communities.


What You'll Do

* Coordinate and manage all aspects of building project implementation, including pre‑design, design, documentation, contract administration, and post‑construction phases.
* Lead and collaborate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to achieve scope, time, cost, and quality objectives.
* Oversee procurement and provide expert contract coordination across various delivery methods.
* Drive stakeholder engagement and negotiations to achieve value for money and strategic outcomes.
* Monitor progress and performance through detailed reporting, audits, and variance control.
* Support senior leadership with project planning, fee approvals, and billing processes.
* Maintain strict adherence to quality assurance procedures and best practices.


What We're Looking For

* Demonstrated experience delivering complex building projects, ideally in a government or large‑scale environment.
* Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage external stakeholders.
* Strong understanding of procurement, contract administration, and construction methodologies.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
* Valid driver's licence (mandatory).
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Architecture, Engineering, Town Planning, or Quantity Surveying (highly regarded).


What's on Offer

* $*****/hr + superannuation
* Immediate start with a contract until July **** with possible extension

Requirements

* Hold a Current Builders Supervisors Licence - Highly Regarded.
* A current Open Class C Driver's Licence (Queensland) or equivalent.
* Criminal history check prior to appointment.
* Current Australian working rights (Evidence required as part of application process).
* Strong oral/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
* Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to work autonomously and unsupervised while contributing to the wider team's objectives of ensuring service delivery exceeds expectations.
