As Business Development Manager, your primary function will be to:
1. Acquire new business and retain existing business to grow company revenue and subscriber market share in the Medium Segment, targeting organisations in the 20-500 employee range.
2. Generate opportunities from prospect lists through digital engagement, cold calling, and other lead generation activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver upon sales targets in acquiring new customers, especially in the mid-market space.
* Manage a balanced and sustainable pipeline to meet long-term sales goals.
* Implement customer experience strategies to minimise churn and enhance Optus' brand.
* Collaborate with the Customer Management Team to identify and action cross-sell opportunities.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Proven background in new business development, with a natural hunter mentality.
* Commercially astute with an understanding of business drivers.
* Ability to build a pipeline through high levels of prospecting activity.
* Extensive relationship and strategic sales experience within Telecommunications and/or IT sectors.
* Strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, to internal and external senior executives.
* Accountability, effective negotiation skills, and ease in managing relationships.
