About the Role
This role is based in Perth, Western Australia.
As a Student Support Officer at Stanley College, you will play a key role in empowering Stanley College students, spanning domestic, international, and funded categories, on their academic odyssey from orientation to graduation and beyond, fostering a robust alumni network through effective administration, engagement and monitoring services..
In this student-facing and multifaceted role, you will:
* Provide guidance and support to students, helping them navigate enrolment, course selection, and access to resources.
* Respond promptly to student enquiries, concerns, and complaints, ensuring timely and effective resolution in line with College policies.
* Support student engagement through the delivery of campus-wide services and coordination of social and community activities.
* Organise and contribute to major student events such as Orientation and Graduation.
* Act as a key liaison between students and internal departments to ensure a seamless support experience.
* Serve as the Health and Safety Representative for the Adelaide campus, supporting WHS communications, inspections, and compliance efforts.
* Assist in managing facilities-related matters, such as maintenance requests and contractor coordination.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance student experience and campus operations.
About You
You are a committed and empathetic professional with a passion for student wellbeing and a strong service orientation. You thrive in dynamic environments, take initiative, and enjoy being a key part of the student journey.
You will bring:
* Strong problem solving abilities and attention to detail, ensures accuracy and consistency, especially in high-pressure or fast-paced environments.
* Extensive customer service or student services experience, ideally within an education or training setting.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to students from diverse backgrounds.
* The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
* A collaborative approach to work and an interest in event coordination and campus life.
Desirable
* Experience supporting international and/or funded students.
* Experience in academic counselling or student case management.
* Familiarity with VET and/or Higher Education sector standards and operations.
* Certificate-level qualification in customer service, administration, or a related field.
Knowledge and Skills
* Understanding of Australian education regulatory frameworks (RTO Standards, Higher Education Standards, AQF, ESOS Act).
* Familiarity with enrolment processes, assessment systems, and student support protocols.
* Proficiency in using student management or CRM systems in an education context.
* Strong organisational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.
* Awareness of industry trends and competency-based training principles.
