About the roleWe currently have multiple positions available for Full Time Permanent Bus Drivers at our Lonsdale and Seaford depots.

Our team of 2,800 operates 1,350 buses and 47 million journeys annuallyHours of workOur drivers must be willing and flexible to work various shifts, that may include weekends, early morning and late-night shifts.The majority of shifts available for full-time drivers are worked as split shifts.
Split shifts work by providing two portions of work to cover peak service times morning and afternoon/evening.
Please note the below periods are a general time frame in which a split shift portion may operate, durations of shifts vary.
All shifts comply with National Heavy Vehicle Regulations and the applicable Enterprise Agreement.Morning: 5:00am – 11:30amAfternoon/evening: 2:00pm – 8:00pmOutside of these hours you can leave the depot to head home or run errands, or you can choose to stay at the depot and take advantage of our driver facilities.There are also some straight shifts that may be available with shifts starting at varied times of the day, from morning, afternoon or evenings.All depots operate seven days per week with most weekend work available as overtime.Eligibility to applyA current and valid driver's licence (Medium Rigid or Heavy Rigid Licence highly desired but not essential).
A good driving historyStrong communication and customer service skillsWilling to undergo a pre-employment medical check, criminal history check and working with children check.Have a current Large Passenger (LP) accreditation is highly desired (or be willing to obtain one)Suitable applicants that do not have the required licence and accreditation, Busways may offer you:Free licence upgrade for eligible applicantsPaid induction and mentor trainingApply now!
