TRP Pakenham is a subsidiary of Hallam Truck Centre which flies the PACCAR flag in south east Melbourne and Victoria. As part of the CMV Group, we are accredited Kenworth and DAF dealers, supporting sales, service and parts plus PacLease Rental and Leasing. In addition to the Kenworth and DAF brands, we are also all makes capable and full-service dealers for the extensive range of PACCAR, Cummins and CAT truck engines, as well as Dana, Meritor, Eaton, Wabco, Knorr-Bremse and SAF-Holland commercial vehicle technologies.
About the role
Our TRP Pakenham site stocks reliable and quality parts for all makes of trucks and trailers. We are seeking a Parts Interpreter to fill a full-time position based at our TRP Pakenham store. In this role, you will sell truck parts to our customers via the front counter, in person or over the phone. Being an integral member of our focused team, you will be one of the public faces of our large spare parts business so will have a good work ethic and a desire to deliver great customer service.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service to our existing and new customers
* Handle all parts sales and enquiries
* Process all orders efficiently and accurately
* Prepare detailed quotations for parts supply
* Promote and upsell products
* Saturday mornings on a rotating roster (approx. every 3rd week at overtime rates)
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in spare parts interpreting within the transport industry
* Familiarity with parts inventory systems
* High level of computer skills
* A good mechanical aptitude
* Excellent attention to detail
* Friendly and positive attitude
