Georges River Council, a leading and people-focused organization, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Museum & Gallery Assistant to join our dynamic team to support our weekend opening hours.
**About the Role**
Are you looking to kickstart your career in the arts and culture space? This entry-level role is a great way to get hands-on experience in a museum and gallery setting.
As a Museum and Gallery Assistant, you'll be the friendly face that welcomes visitors and helps them enjoy their experience. You'll answer questions, keep an eye on the exhibition spaces, and make sure everything runs smoothly during weekend opening hours. You'll also help with opening and closing the gallery, setting up displays, and promoting exhibitions and events.
It's a great opportunity to learn the ropes, get involved in cultural programs, and be part of a team that brings art and history to life for the community.

- Museum and Gallery Officer
**What We Offer**
- Permanent, Part-time - 22 hours per fortnight (7 hours Saturday and 4 hours Sunday)
- Saturday: 9am - 4.30pm

**Desirable**
- Current Class C Driver's Licence
- Tertiary qualifications in Museum Studies, Art History, History, Arts Administration
- Experience working in a museum, gallery or similar cultural organisation
- Experience in delivery of public programs
- Ability to speak a community language such as Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, Greek
