Kenmore State High School is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join its executive leadership team.
There are six Heads of Department – one for each year level – referred to locally as Heads of Year. The Head of Department – Student Services will focus on Year 7 in 2026 and will work closely with students, parents and teachers to support students through their first year of secondary schooling.

About the Role
* Lead initiatives that enhance engagement, belonging, wellbeing and behaviour support for every student in your year level.
* Collaborate with the Student Support Services Team to provide interventions for students facing significant barriers in learning, behaviour or social‐emotional engagement.
* Implement year‐level events in partnership with the Shadow Heads of Year to develop a sense of year‐level identity and belonging (e.g., assemblies, projects and celebrations).
* Promote positive education (PERMAH) to embed practices that support each student to flourish at Kenmore SHS.
* Liaise with parents, teachers and support staff to provide guidance and support for students when needed.
* Uphold school values and expectations through strong leadership skills.
