Responsibilities

* Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and peripherals.
* Document, upgrade, or replace hardware and software systems.
* Support and maintain user account information, including rights, security, and group memberships.
* Perform general preventative maintenance and remedial repairs on computers, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
* Customize desktop hardware to meet user specifications and standards.
* Ensure work is performed within warranty requirements.
* Manage inventory, including returning defective parts and restocking supplies.
* Package equipment for shipping and coordinate transport.
* Monitor, operate, troubleshoot, and restore network-connected devices.
* Escalate complex issues to tier 3 support as needed.
* Analyze support requests to identify trends.
* Assist users with hardware and application support queries.
* Provide data and application recovery.
* Use diagnostic tools for network and hardware/software issues.
* Deploy operating system images and configurations.
* Track hardware and software inventory.
* Educate end-users on basic hardware and software operations.
* Take ownership of assigned support issues and escalate when necessary.
* Collaborate with vendor support teams to resolve issues.
* Participate in new branch setups and upgrades.
* Follow departmental procedures for fault resolution.
* Maintain documentation and records.
* Ensure work requests are properly completed and documented.
* Develop understanding of IT operations and systems.
* Maintain knowledge of operating systems and applications used within the organization.


Qualifications

Skills and Knowledge:

* Strong technical knowledge of PCs and hardware components.
* Familiarity with current protocols, operating systems, and standards.
* Ability to operate diagnostic and peripheral tools.
* Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification required.
* Experience with A+ certification preferred.
* Proficiency in troubleshooting software and hardware issues.
* Experience with Windows OS, Apple, Mac, iPhone, iPad.
* Networking experience with routers, switches, firewalls.
* Support experience with Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of TCP/IP and enterprise backup software.
* Familiarity with SMS, Active Directory, Exchange 2007/2010, remote support tools.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Effective planning, organizational, and administrative skills.
* Ability to work independently and in a team.

* Ability to understand technical concepts and teach others.

* Prioritization and multitasking skills.
* Customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
* Motivation and teamwork capabilities.
* Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform mobility tasks.
