About the position
Reporting to the Coordinator Operations and Systems Optimisation, the Systems Analyst / Developer (GIS) is responsible for continuing the building and delivering an integrated works management solution for our City Operations portfolio.
The Systems Analyst / Developer (GIS) will play a crucial role in innovating how we manage works end-to-end, from capturing data in the field, dispatching and scheduling to updating works remotely.
The position requires someone with a strong technical background, excellent problem‐solving skills, and a deep understanding of ArcGIS/ESRI best practices.
This is a fixed-term, 4-year contract.
Key responsibilities
* Building and maintaining a range of geospatial digital works‐solutions including but not limited to: assigning proactive work requests against an asset, scheduling of works to teams, management and updating of work requests in the field, field data capture, contractor work request dashboards and interactive geospatial map views of all works.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical solutions.
* Stay updated with ArcGIS platform updates, new features, and industry best practices to maintain the required levels of service, platform stability and recommendations of enhancements.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, technical diagrams, and user guides related to works management.
* Work closely with our IT Solutions team, in collaboration with our enterprise systems experts.
* Provide occasional support across enterprise systems to maintain service continuity and user experience.
About you
* Strong Esri ArcGIS Experience (WebApp and Enterprise Server)
* A tertiary qualification in GIS, Information Technology or 2 years experience in geospatial application administration and implementation.
* A passion for process automation and solution development
* Excellent problem‐solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
* Must be willing to undergo a pre‐employment medical and national police check.

Salary range is between $100,066 and $104,146 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
