Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor

About Us:
Instarmac Group Plc is a specialist in the manufacture and distribution of cement and bitumen-based products to the world market for over 40 years. We operate a 24-hour manufacturing facility from Monday to Friday.

Job Description:
We are looking for an additional Warehouse Supervisor to join our award-winning team, working 2pm - 10pm. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running and efficiency of the department. This includes overseeing, planning and prioritizing work tasks and activities, assigning and delegating tasks accordingly to team members. You will also develop excellent working relationships with support functions and represent the Warehouse team in a professional manner, delivering exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:
- General Task Management: Has full working knowledge of all Warehouse activities and can operate/cover all aspects as required for workload, absence and holidays of colleagues and peers.
- Meet Warehouse operational standards by ensuring all standard operating procedures, housekeeping, safety, quality, customer service standards and warehouse management processes are followed correctly.
- Ensuring inventory management processes are followed correctly including receiving, storing, rotation and picking of goods to maintain optimal stock levels and picking efficiency.
- Assisting with stock checks, physical counts, shortage and damage investigations and recording data/adjustments when required.
- Monitor agreed productivity and individual performance KPI's, identify and report areas of improvement or change.
- Ensure a comprehensive handover is provided to other shift senior operatives and Line manager at the end of every working day.
- Overseeing, planning and prioritising work tasks and activities, assign and delegate tasks accordingly to the team members to ensure the smooth running and efficiency of the department.
- Address issues that arise in daily warehouse operations such as delays, discrepancies or damaged goods. Escalate where necessary to the line manager.
- Develops excellent working relationships with support functions and represents the Warehouse team in a professional manner. Delivers exceptional customer service.
- Maintaining accurate records of inventory, training and other relevant data for reporting and auditing purposes.

Supporting Health and Safety:
- Carry out equipment maintenance checks such as FLT and other MHE equipment to ensure they are safe and operational. Oversee and ensure all relevant equipment checks are completed by team members accordingly.
- Champion and drive 5S and ISO standards (ISO9001) and Health and Safety requirements by enforcing, correcting and monitoring safety protocols and procedures to create a secure working environment, including conducting safety spot checks, completing risk assessments, and addressing hazards via near miss reporting and escalating issues where necessary.
- Ensuring a safe, clean and environmentally compliant work area and builds a culture where safety is a first priority.

Team Guidance and Support:
- Act as a role model for the team with professional conduct, setting a positive example.
- Work with the Warehouse Manager to ensure sufficient resources and training is allocated/planned in accordance with business requirements.
- Ensure the conformance and competence of existing and new team members by training/mentoring structured training plans.
- Ensure day-to-day processes and team member tasks are carried out effectively and in a timely manner.
- Ensure allocated buddy systems are in place for new starter training.
- Guide and motivate the team to achieve KPI's (5S scoring, OEE, CMS complaints, HSE concerns).
- Strive to improve engagement and morale within the team by conducting daily briefings and structured diarized 121's check in's.
- Working with the Line Manager to identify skill gaps supports the learning and development of the team through training, standard operating procedures and toolbox talk delivery to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Overseeing and managing the team department holiday calendar and booking procedure in accordance with department commitments and parameters.
- Monitoring and recording holidays/ team absences /timekeeping on our TMS system, monitor and report trends/absence triggers.
- Carry out Return to Work interviews accordingly supporting adjustments if/when required.

Requirements:
- Experienced Operative who has in-depth knowledge, experience and ability to work across most / all areas of the warehouse process.
- Good working knowledge of 5S Standards and Health and Safety Management (including Forklift truck sign offs).
- Excellent IT skills, including window based software packages. Experience of WMS systems. Ensuring use of system directed and pushing efficiency with JDA system.
- Forklift and LLOP license.
- Supervisor / Leadership experience is desirable.

Working Hours: 2pm - 10pm, Monday to Friday
