Technical IT & Digital Systems Specialist
Carlyle Engineering is a long established Australian manufacturer supplying products to bakeries, commercial kitchens and the Australian Government. We are seeking a technically capable IT professional to take ownership of our website health, SEO infrastructure, analytics integrity and core digital systems.
Key responsibilities include:
Technical SEO & Website Auditing (primary duty) - conducting crawls using Screaming Frog SEO Spider (v18+), identifying and documenting issues such as duplicate URSs, canonical errors, redirect chains, broken links, orphan pages, pagination problems and indexation risks, preparing clear exportable crawl reports suitable for management review or third‐party handover, managing XML sitemaps, robots.txt rules and Search Console coverage issues.
Analytics, Tracking & Data Integrity - Own Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console configuration, manage Google Tag Manager containers, events and conversion tracking, audit and correct UTM usage and attribution consistency, ensure tracking accuracy across advertising platforms.
Systems & Digital Oversight - Act as Carlyle Engineering's internal technical reference point for web and digital systems, support integration between website, CRM and marketing platforms as required, review work delivered by external SEO or digital agencies for technical accuracy, maintain internal documentation so knowledge remains in‐house.
Required Skills & Experience
* Proven experience using Screaming Frog (a sample crawl or audit preferred)
* Strong understanding of technical SEO principles and search engine behaviour
* Hands on experience with GA4, Google Search Console and Google Tag Manager
* Ability to explain technical findings clearly to non‐technical stakeholders
* Understanding of structured data (JSON‐LD) and schema validation
* Experience with Shopify and / or Word Press
* Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Zoho and Hub Spot
