About the Role

You will lead a high-performing team responsible for developing and executing consumer-focused campaigns and content strategies. This pivotal role drives the evolution of ASIC's MoneySmart program, ensuring it remains one of Australia's leading sources of independent financial information.

This Senior Manager position sits in the Corporate Affairs team, accountable for consumer communications, including MoneySmart, and CCA's strategy. The team builds and leverages media and strategic stakeholder relationships to improve awareness and understanding of ASIC's mandate and outcomes.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in communications, public relations, media, marketing or related fields. They will bring a deep understanding of digital content creation, SEO, social media marketing and web analytics. A proven track record of leading high-performing teams and developing compelling, user-centric content that cuts through in a crowded media landscape is essential. Experience in the financial services industry and a strong passion for financial education and consumer advocacy are highly regarded.

About You

As a Senior Manager, you will be an exceptional stakeholder manager, media relations expert and content-first storyteller. You will influence executives, advise technical experts, and engage with consumer groups effectively. Strong strategic planning and project management skills are required, as well as the ability to thrive in fast-paced, complex environments. A natural collaborator, you will foster a culture of creativity, innovation and continuous improvement while ensuring content and campaigns are impactful, engaging and aligned with ASIC's strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves leading the development and execution of consumer-focused campaigns and content strategies. This includes driving the implementation of ASIC's consumer communication strategy, shaping the future of ASIC's consumer and investor communications and expanding MoneySmart's reach and relevance. The successful candidate will also act as a media spokesperson, building strong relationships with key journalists, opinion leaders and stakeholders to enhance ASIC and MoneySmart's engagement with media on consumer and investor finances. Overseeing the creation and optimisation of best-in-class content, managing campaign budgets, timelines and resources, and ensuring high-impact delivery and compliance with regulatory and financial communication best practices are also key responsibilities.
