What you'll do:
* Provide trusted and sensible advice on client contracting matters.
* Provide oral and written legal advice to stakeholders on a range of client contracting matters.
* Undertake legal analysis and provide clear, plain English advice to management on commercial arrangements and legal obligations.
* Draft, review and negotiate a range of client contracts such as PwC Australia engagement letters, master service agreements and statements of work on client paper, global framework agreements, inter-firm agreements, secondment agreements, non-disclosure agreements and hold harmless letters.
* Develop practice innovation to improve how the team delivers legal services to our clients.
* Deliver training/presentations.
* Monitor legal and regulatory changes, and develop flexible, creative and innovative solutions to business problems.
* Work closely with internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization and particularly with PwC's risk and compliance teams.
* Follow escalation protocols and pathways and consult senior lawyers as required
* Mentor and supervise team members including reviewing work and providing direction on their matters.
* Provide focused and pragmatic solutions to address legal risk and business problems.
What we're looking for:
* You must have a minimum of 6 years' PQE with a commercial contracting background.
* You have post-admission experience in the area of commercial contracting, ideally with some private practice experience. In-house experience/secondment to a service provider organisation would be beneficial.
* You have experience and confidence in dealing with and assisting stakeholders, including an ability to draft clear and precise legal documents and communications.
* You have strong technical knowledge in commercial contracting.
* You have experience working within teams of lawyers and supporting and consulting senior lawyers.
* You have excellent interpersonal and commercial skills, as well as an ability to build relationships and influence with impact.
* You have the ability to identify and consider critical and key issues, assess and articulate legal risks (including likelihood and impact) so the business can make informed, risk-based commercial decisions.
* You have the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
* You have a genuine interest in improving practice innovation and digitization.
