Job Overview
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting a regional NSW council in budgeting, accounting and financial aspects of a major road project.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintenance of corporate financial systems and processes to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of financial transactions.
* Comprehensive knowledge of key financial functions and processes including preparation, review, analysis and reporting of monthly project reforecasts.
* Overseeing the accounts payable function to ensure timely payment of invoices and efficient processing of financial transactions.
* Facilitating engagement with key stakeholders including funding bodies, contractors, council partners and government agencies.
Requirements
* Relevant professional tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting or Finance.
* Experience in Local Government NSW Accounting Practices.
