About the Role:
As a Trainee Respiratory techniciant, you will be trained to perform a wide range of lung function tests, working closely with patients, clinicians, and allied health professionals. You'll gain hands-on experience while contributing to improving respiratory health outcomes across the community. To begin with we are offering 1 day (8 hours) per week, however there is scope for this to increase if the business need arises.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct and assist with respiratory function tests (e.g., spirometry, gas transfer, lung volumes)
* Provide patient education and support
* Maintain accurate records and adhere to safety and infection control standards
* Participate in ongoing professional development
About You:
* A science degree or equivalent qualification (biomedical/health sciences or similar)
* Strong interest in respiratory medicine or allied health
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities
* Willingness to learn in a fast-paced clinical environment
Desirable:
* Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
* Knowledge of respiratory anatomy and physiology
* Familiarity with medical devices or diagnostic equipment
