St Andrew's Toowoomba Hospital is an independent, not-for-profit, private hospital delivering exceptional, values-based care to the Darling Downs community. As a hospital built by the community, for the community, we understand the vital role philanthropy plays in our continued service and innovation. We're seeking a compassionate, strategic and relationship-driven Director of Philanthropy to lead fundraising efforts that enhance our impact and future vision.
Your Role
As Director of Philanthropy, you will:
* Design and deliver a compelling philanthropic and fundraising strategy aligned with SATH's vision and values
* Build enduring relationships with individual donors, community groups, corporate partners and philanthropic foundations
* Lead and manage major giving, donor stewardship, campaigns, appeals, events and bequest programs
* Collaborate with Executive, Board and clinicians to prioritise fundraising aligned to patient care and capital development
* Leverage networks and affiliations with educational or research institutions to support access to grant opportunities
* Oversee grant applications and reporting, identifying and securing funding that supports strategic initiatives
* Champion a culture of generosity and community partnership across SATH
What You'll Bring
* A passion for healthcare and community-focused impact
* Demonstrated success in philanthropy, fundraising, or advancement roles, particularly in the not-for-profit or healthcare sectors
* Strategic leadership skills with a deep understanding of donor cultivation and stewardship
* Strong experience or understanding of grant writing, reporting, and acquittals
* Existing networks or affiliations with universities or research institutions (desirable)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a heart for community engagement
* A values-aligned, mission-driven approach
