Paediatric Speech Pathologist Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team in rural healthcare as a Paediatric Speech Pathologist.

About the Role:

* Provide health and development check screening services aligned with the Brighter Beginnings Initiative.
* Offer evidence-based speech therapy assessment and therapy to children aged 4 and above on community health waiting lists.
* Support and develop paediatric skills for generalist Speech Pathologists in the district.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver high-quality, patient-centred care to children and their families.
* Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve optimal outcomes.
* Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements:

* Tertiary degree in speech pathology (or equivalent).
* Eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Recent relevant experience in paediatric clinical practice, including assessment and intervention with preschool and school-aged children.
* Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills.

Selection Criteria:

* Tertiary degree in speech pathology (or equivalent) with eligibility for practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* Recent, relevant experience in paediatric clinical practice, including assessment and intervention with preschool and school-aged children, group work skills and case management in a community health setting.
* Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills, including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills, time management and computer literacy, and the ability to analyse, interpret and implement evidence-based practice.
