We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cook/Chef in a part-time capacity.
About the Role:
* The Cook/Chef will assist in preparing meals for patients, residents, staff and external clients.
* The person will maintain the kitchen, supplies and equipment in a safe and sanitary condition.
* They will work on a rotating roster over 7 days, including weekends and public holidays.
Essential Requirements:
* Effective communication and organisational skills
* Appropriate training in cooking or relevant experience
* Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and management
* Demonstrate ability to work without active supervision
* Demonstrate knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel and Outlook
Desirable Qualifications:
* Previous experience working in Hospitality/Health Industry
* Knowledge of Food Act 1984 and Victorian Food Safety Standards
* Training in food safety and infection control
* Food Safety Supervisory Certification in Health or willingness to obtain one
* Qualified Chef or Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
