Job Overview
This is a unique opportunity to contribute directly to Australia's Defence capability as a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager. The successful candidate will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of complex Defence projects, driving project outcomes aligned with national security objectives.
* Coordinate project planning, scheduling, reporting, and risk management activities.
* Monitor project performance and provide strategic advice to senior stakeholders.
* Prepare briefings, reports, and documentation for internal and external audiences.
* Liaise with stakeholders including Defence contractors, government agencies, and industry partners.
* Identify process improvements and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Assist in contract management and procurement processes in accordance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs).
About You
* Proven experience in project management or coordination in a Defence or government environment.
* Strong knowledge of Defence project governance and capability lifecycle.
* Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Ability to analyse complex information and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
* High level of integrity, discretion, and commitment to working in a security-sensitive environment.
* Ability to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
* Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Business, Public Administration, or related field.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a project or program support role.
* Experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira).
* PRINCE2, AgilePM, or PMP certification.
