About the team

Based at Cloncurry Station, you'll become part of a dedicated team of technicians, electricians, and mechanical staff, who all work together to cover the region from Mt Isa to Richmond.

About the role

As aTelecommunications Technicianyou will carry out the installation, maintenance and repair of telecommunications and electronic equipment to ensure safe and effective operation. This role would be best suited to those with proven experience with radio & transmission systems and remotemonitoring equipment. A considerable amount of work is conducted out in the field, so you must be able to travel away and work in a variety of locations.

In this role you will:

- Install, maintain and repair telecommunication and electronic equipment
- Maintain records and associated documentation
- Report on actual work performed against the scheduled maintenance program
- Ensureall work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications,including work performed by subordinates

About you

- Sound skill in the installation, maintenance and fault rectification of telecommunications equipment and systems
- Unrestricted driver’s license
- Must have capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
- Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
- Participate in an on-call roster with standby allowance benefits
