CGI is seeking experienced Network Engineers to join our growing Space, Defence & Intelligence (SDI) team. This is an opportunity to work on mission‐critical network infrastructure supporting Australia's national security and advanced space capabilities.

Future duties and responsibilities
* Design, configure, and maintain secure network infrastructure.
* Support network integration with satellite communication systems and ground segments.
* Manage routing, switching, and network security across complex environments.
* Monitor network performance and conduct troubleshooting and optimisation.
* Collaborate with systems, Satcom, and software engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.
* Ensure compliance with Defence security standards, policies, and accreditation requirements.
* Support system testing, deployment, and operational readiness activities.
* Maintain accurate network documentation, configurations, and procedures.
* Contribute to incident response and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
* Proven experience in network engineering within enterprise or secure environments.
* Strong knowledge of routing and switching (e.g. TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs).
* Experience with network security technologies (e.g. firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
* Exposure to satellite communications, RF environments, or defence networks (desirable).
* Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
* Relevant certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent) are desirable.
* Strong problem‐solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively in secure, multidisciplinary environments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Active NV2 or PV Security Clearance (mandatory).
