This role is exclusive to Burgess Paluch Legal Recruitment. Our client seeks a confident Assistant Company Secretary who will report to the General Counsel/Company Secretary in the corporate office department of this premier listed global investment management company. This company is strong yet still considered "boutique" so you are not working in a factory type huge environment. It offers future opportunities for development and growth. You will be a trusted partner to our Company Secretary and play a key role in managing board and committee governance requirements with detail and discretion. You may have previously held a similar role and may have a working knowledge of ASX and Corporations Act requirements, corporate law, secretarial accountability, investment companies, and compliance and risk management operations. An understanding of key regulators is desirable. Prior experience with any listed investment companies could be an advantage. Certainly not all of these areas of experience are required. This role will see you responding appropriately to the needs of the board and shareholders, assisting and ensuring that the company meets its corporate risk, legal and regulatory obligations. While mentoring from the Company Secretary and other impressive senior team members is available, you should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a good level of autonomy. If in addition to your experience, you have completed study or are currently studying through the Chartered Secretaries/Governance Institute of Australia, you are also strongly encouraged to apply. You should be customer focussed, creative and personable, while operating with integrity and utilising your process management and presentation skills. In return for your contribution, our client is offering a great work place culture along with other benefits including a high salary package. For a confidential discussion please call Doron Paluch on 0438 004 445 or email a CV to doron@bplr.com.au.
