Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring designs are functional, cutting-edge, and on-brand
• Assess client needs, preferences, and budget to create tailored design solutions
• Source and select materials suitable for the region's coastal climate, ensuring durability and aesthetic appeal
• Develop detailed design plans, including layouts, material selection, lighting, and furniture choices
• Oversee the installation of design elements to ensure quality and accuracy
• Collaborate with architects, decorators, contractors, and clients throughout the design process
• Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and sustainable design principles

Requirements

• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and material suitability for coastal environments
• Proven experience in interior design, with a portfolio showcasing past projects
• Expertise in layout design, lighting, material selection, and custom furniture
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Illustrator
• Knowledge of sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Strong project management and time-management abilities
• Knowledge of local area and climate conditions essential for material and design suitability
