Position No: ******** Work Type: Permanent - Full Time Permanent – Full-time Level 7 Salary: $108,804 – $115,610*, plus superannuation Flexible Work Arrangements Vacancy ******** The opportunity We are in the market for a suitably qualified, motivate and enthusiastic Senior Property Officer who has extensive knowledge of property and leasing management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is able to build rapport with internal and external stakeholders and maintains positive working relationships.
As a Senior Property Officer, you will effectively administer the Leases and Licences functions for City owned and leased properties, participate in the implementation of the City's Property Strategy and administer expressions of interest and permits for the commercial use of City property.
To be successful in this role, you will need: A tertiary qualification or diploma in property development, property management, commerce or law or related fields is essential.
More than five years' experience in a similar role in Local, State or Federal government or in commercial property management.
Extensive experience in the provision of advice and policy development within a public sector environment is highly desirable.
Previous experience in land administration including property leasing and licensing.
Ability to interpret, understand and explain legal issues relevant to land management issues, town planning matters and property leases/licences is desirable.
Knowledge and application of relevant property legislation including the Land Administration Act ****, the Local Government Act ****, the Residential Tenancies Act, Commercial Tenancies Agreements Act **** Planning and Development Act **** and other associated statutes relevant to land tenure matters.
Knowledge of broader property related issues relating to sale and purchase matters, market knowledge relating to investment issues.
