About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Butcher / Portion Cutter to join our Food Service Production line team. Your attention to detail, adherence to quality standards, and commitment to food safety will contribute to the success of our operations.
Start early morning and finish early. Currently, our team works: Monday - Friday 2am to 10.30am and Saturday 2am to 8am.
Responsibilities
- Filleting, trimming, de-boning, portioning and skinning fresh meat products
- Operating meat slicer and cutting machines
- Following secure food handling and hygiene practices
- Capturing data for product costings, yield and waste control
- Assisting with product development when required
- Providing products to a consistent and high standard
- Accurately selecting various grades & cuts of meat according to customer specifications.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Butcher
- Ability to work in a cold environment (5 degrees)
- Tertiary education or butcher qualifications
- Solid knife skills and attention to detail
