We are looking for warm, reliable, and enthusiastic volunteers to support our facilitators during weekly BLB sessions in aged-care homes.
As a Program Support Volunteer, you will play an important role in helping sessions run smoothly while building connections between children and older participants.
**Key Duties**
- Assist facilitators to set up and pack down session materials (instruments, props, seating, etc.)
- Welcome families and residents, helping them feel comfortable and included
- Support children to participate in songs, movement, and activities
- Encourage and assist older adults to engage in the session at their own pace
- Help manage the flow of the session (e.g. handing out instruments, guiding transitions)
- Model positive, respectful, and inclusive interactions
- Provide general assistance to ensure a calm, safe, and enjoyable environment
**Skills & Experience**
We're looking for people who are:
- Friendly, patient, and confident engaging with both young children (0–5 years) and older adults
- Reliable and able to commit to regular sessions where possible
- Comfortable in a group setting and able to take direction from a facilitator
- Observant and responsive to the needs of others
Desirable but not essential:
- Experience with children, older adults, disability support, or community programs
- Interest in music, early childhood, or aged care
You will be required to have/obtain a Working With Children Check (WWCC - free as a volunteer) and a National Police Check (reimbursed).

We are looking for volunteers to attend our weekly intergenerational music programs for one hour per week. We have programs on different weekdays in the mornings and afternoons so hopefully we can find one that suits your availability. Our programs run with the school terms, so do not run in the school holidays.
