Role Overview
The Systems Engineer will provide specialized Mobility & Integration System Engineering services in support of ICT programs. This role is responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and supporting Mobile ICT systems, MobileIron environments, cloud-based platforms, and associated integration components. The position requires hands-on technical capability, strong troubleshooting skills across Levels 2 and 3, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, system designers, vendors, and external stakeholders.
* Maintain and enhance MICT systems including the deployment of patches and minor capability improvements
* Investigate, implement, and test system improvements and integrations, including Cisco VPN monitoring tool
* Produce and update technical documentation for system changes and enhancements
* Ensure device acquisition and management complies with security hardening, vetting, and onboarding requirements
* Oversee software development, deployment, and configuration related to MobileIron
* Liaise with MobileIron vendors and manage vendor relationships
* Research, design, configure, and administer cloud-based enterprise-wide systems and Microsoft Azure cloud tenancy
* Manage server and network faults, service outages, disaster recovery, and liaise with hosting providers for incident management and escalation
* Assist with cloud-based project development, including support validation, operational testing, system documentation, software updates, backup management, security compliance monitoring, virtual machine maintenance, and certificate management
Essential Skills & Experience
* It’s mandatory to have experience with Intune or other Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
* Experience administering and maintaining Microsoft Azure Cloud tenancy and cloud-based enterprise systems
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve server/network faults and manage disaster recovery processes
* Technical expertise in software deployment, system integration, and testing environments
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with vendors and internal teams
* Strong documentation skills for technical procedures and system updates
* Experience with Cisco Virtual Private Network (VPN) system monitoring is highly desirable
