About the Role
We are looking for a committed professional who can deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs across English and Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) at the secondary level. The successful applicant will create a positive, inclusive classroom environment and use contemporary pedagogical approaches to support diverse learner needs.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging curriculum-aligned lessons in English and HASS
* Use evidence-based teaching strategies to support student learning and wellbeing
* Assess, provide feedback, and report on student progress in line with school and curriculum requirements
* Create an inclusive, respectful, and supportive learning environment
* Contribute to faculty planning, whole-school initiatives, and extracurricular programs
* Engage positively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a collaborative school culture

About You
You are a motivated educator who brings creativity, professionalism, and passion to your teaching practice. You will demonstrate:
* Current QCT registration (or eligibility for registration)
* Qualifications in English and/or Humanities (additional teaching areas an advantage)
* Strong knowledge of the Australian Curriculum in English and HASS
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to ongoing professional learning
* Ability to differentiate instruction to support diverse learners
* A collaborative and proactive approach to working within a team

* an Australian Citizen or
* a permanent resident or
* have an appropriate permit to work in Australia
