Kuremara provides a wide range of services, programs, and support for people with disabilities, we have over 10 years of experience in leading the delivery of primary health care services in Rural Queensland. **About the role**
We are looking for an experienced **Male SW **with a **Maori or Pacific Islander background** who is hard-working and dedicated to join our team. You'll also need to have a natural ability to build relationships that make a difference, be honest, helpful and dependable, making you a great asset to our team.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing personalised support to individuals with disabilities, with a focus on those with mental health needs.
Your work is based in a Participant's house and in the Community.

**Position Overview**:
As a Mental Health Support Worker at Kuremara Care, you will play a crucial role in providing support to the client. We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated **Female support worker** to join our team.
**Should be,**
- **Maori or Pacific Islander background (**_**preferred**_**)**:
- Middle-aged, enthusiast, and easy to get along with.
- Someone who takes inciative and hold a good conversation with the participant
- Experience working with individuals with diverse needs is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to individuals with diverse needs.
- Working within a person-centred, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, household tasks and domestic duties
- Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship and support
- Providing support with academic, social or recreational activities
- Preparing food, feeding clients and assisting with medications
- Observe, care and report any changes in the health and well-being of the client
- Engage the individual in social and recreational activities, fostering independence and community integration.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the individual's needs are met effectively.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Community Participation**: Facilitate and engage in community activities to promote social integration and participation.
**- Personal Care**:Assist with daily living activities, ensuring the comfort and well-being of the clients.
**- Transportation**: Safely transport clients, creating a supportive and secure environment.

**Requirements**:
- Experience**:Proven experience as a Mental Health/ Disablility Support Worker, with a strong background in community participation and personal care.
**- Qualifications**: Relevant qualifications in disability support or a related field.
**- Communication Skills**:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
**- Driver's License**:A valid Australian driver's license is essential for transporting clients.
