Senior Production Supervisor
Are you an experienced mining leader who sets the standard in safety, performance, and people leadership? We're seeking a driven Senior Production Supervisor to play a key role in delivering daily production outcomes while supporting the site's long-term objectives.
The Opportunity
In this senior leadership role, you'll provide oversight across day-to-day mining operations, ensuring production plans are executed safely, efficiently, and consistently. Working closely with the Production Superintendent, you'll lead, mentor, and coordinate production teams while driving collaboration across site functions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Lead and coordinate multiple Production Supervisors to deliver daily mine plans and production targets
* Analyse daily performance results and work with supervisors to address productivity, utilisation, and compliance gaps
* Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, and mentoring to Production Supervisors and Leading Hands
* Ensure all work areas operate in line with the site Safety and Health Management System
* Contribute operational insights into short- and medium-term planning, including scheduling, resourcing, and constraints
* Work closely with Technical Services, Drill & Blast, and Maintenance to align operational readiness and priorities
* Build a high-performance culture through strong people leadership, communication, and accountability
* Maintain clear, consistent communication between site leadership and frontline teams
* Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical solutions
What You'll Bring To be successful in this role, you'll have:
* Experience in a comparable role within a large-scale mining operation
* Current G1, G2, G8, and G9 Supervisor competencies (formerly S1, S2, S3)
* Proven leadership experience in an open-cut mining environment
* Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and statutory obligations
* A flexible, solutions-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capability
* The ability to mentor, influence, and lead teams effectively
* Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
* Confidence using the Microsoft Office suite
