About the Role
As a Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in the daily lives of NDIS participants, helping them achieve their goals, maintain independence, and enjoy a safe, comfortable home environment. You'll be working in a team-based SIL setting, providing consistent, person-centred care tailored to each individual's needs.
We offer part-time, and full-time positions, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for career growth.
Your Responsibilities
* Assist with personal care, hygiene, daily routines and medication administration
* Support with domestic tasks such as cooking, cleaning, and shopping
* Lead and encourage engagement in house activities
* Encourage community participation and social engagement
* Provide companionship and emotional support
* Promote independence and skill-building in everyday activities
* Collaborate with Support Team on weekly house activities, and house member enrichment
* Collaborate with participant Multidisciplinary teams for training on specific support needs
* Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the wider care team
* Uphold safety standards and follow all relevant policies and procedures
What We're Looking For
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent
* Experience in disability support or nursing (Enrolled Nurse background highly regarded)
* NDIS Worker Screening Check & Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Additional Certifications/Training relating to Disability Support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A caring, patient, and adaptable approach
* Valid driver's licence and reliable transport
* Commitment to upholding the dignity, rights, and independence of people with disabilities
